About Team Drive

TEAMDRIVE was started in 2005 by Coach, Trainer & Facilitator David Savage and offers and a range of brain-based services to teams whose collaboration is essential to their success.

David Savage Q&A

What’s meant by a brain-based approach?

“In technical terms it’s an approach informed by how the brain-works, how people are wired and what’s happening in the brain when people are working together. For me as a trainer/facilitator/coach, it means a number of things, such as a facilitation structure that allows for innovation and free-thinking, noticing when people are drifting towards conflict and asking questions that get people towards solutions quickly and effectively instead of creating ‘disconnects’ in the brain (confusion, conflict and off-planet-meandering). More than that, the brain-based training I have helps me to help teams create common purpose at a neural-level, reflected by new team habits and common purpose.”

What are your greatest successes?

“A total transformation of an IT team is one of them, to the point that they’ve become an icon for their collaboration skills throughout the entire organisation. They have retained their diverse range of thinking styles, but utilise them to innovate and steer it away from causing conflict.”

Will this type of training work with any team?

“Potentially YES and NO. The nature of the workshops are geared towards teams who already have a little ZING, i.e. the team wants to be a team, and sees the importance of collaboration. If a team has a weak leader, then a different approach is advised, along with if the team doesn’t see itself as a team.”
